Soleil Moon Frye is an American actress, director, producer, and screenwriter.Frye made her acting debut in the 1982 television movie Missing Children: A Mother's Story.At an audition in 1984, Frye beat out over three thousand girls (which includedMelissa Joan Hart) to win the titular role on the NBC sitcom Punky Brewster, an American sitcom television series about a young girl being raised by a foster parent in Chicago.
